Thank you for checking out my new Friday Love Readings 🙂
I’ll be drawing cards for your love life every Friday to give you timely insight on new connections, steamy romances, and complicated relationships.
Today we have some great news! All three of your cards are good signs, no matter what your direction. However, there are some important points that will help you navigate your love life with more ease.
Your fist card, The High Priestess, is a reminder to turn inwards and attend to the deep and powerful aspects of your divine feminine. She wants you to be primed, and aligned, so you can welcome the fresh energy coming in for you.
The Hierophant, your second card, is a sign there could be a romance with someone you wouldn’t necessarily expect. That being said, he also wants you to pay attention to what values are most important to you in a relationship.
These first two cards are preparing you for the Eight of Cups, which can be fast moving, and incredibly potent. You might find yourself unexpectedly swept off your feet by a romance, or reigniting your current relationship.
With this possible new lover, it’s important you listen to the advice of your first two cards. Let’s take a look.
#1: The High Priestess | Return to Your Instincts
Have you been struggling to find intimacy? Has your love life felt distant or stuck recently? When The High Priestess is drawn in a love reading, she often represents a need for a return to yourself.
The High Priestess sits between two pillars, one white and one black. The white pillar symbolizes establishment (Jachin), and the black represents Strength (Boaz). The High Priestess is, herself, the third pillar representing the middle path between duality.
You are being asked to step back. This is not a card of action, but a card of listening and perceiving. Allow yourself to return to what you are feeling and sensing, rather than searching for answers outside of yourself.
You may be craving a partner, or are needing to feel seen and respected by your current lover. However, the answer to this desire won’t come from trying to get it.
Rather, the most powerful thing you can do for yourself right now is to get in touch with the deep longing within you. Your heart is fertile, and your deep intuition is a well of insight.
You just need to be willing to accept and nurture the part of you that is reaching for someone outside of you to make you feel better.
The High Priestess is a powerful symbol of the Divine Feminine. This is a card of returning to the innate wisdom, strength, and intuition living in all humans.
You might ask yourself:
“How have I been treating the feminine within me?”
“In what ways have I been a good partner or friend to my deep feminine elements?”
If you truly take this inner relationship seriously, you’ll be surprised what can happen when you start to heal your connection with the Divine Feminine within.
Now is an important time for you to take a step back, reconnect with yourself, and attune with your emotions and intuition. This will be immensely helpful, as our next card could indicate a very deep and bonding relationship that you will want to be free and clear to explore.
#2: The Hierophant | Deep Bonds
Do you have a friend you have a crush on? Is there someone in your life already that is suffocating you?
The Hierophant is the masculine counterpart to the High Priestess. He values tradition, organization, and spiritual ritual. When he is drawn in a love reading, it can be a sign that there is someone close to you who could be a fantastic partner.
This would be the kind of relationship that feels secure, reciprocal, and could potentially lead to marriage.
Often this card would represent a traditional kind of relationship, of monogamy, marriage, and children.
It’s likely The Hierophant represents someone you already have a connection with, rather than a new person on the scene.
Unfortunately, there is another possibility with the appearance of this card. While the Hierophant represents the healthy side of tradition, spiritual ritual, and morality, he is also the negative side of these.
You might be feeling trapped by belief systems handed down by your parents, or smothered by a lover who wants you to be a certain way. If this is the case, all the more reason to take the advice of the High Priestess and get in touch with what you are truly feeling.
It’s also possible you have taken on beliefs that are keeping you from exploring the world in the way that your heart truly desires. Ask yourself if you are honestly in alignment with whatever situation you find yourself in right now.
Luckily, with our next card, it is quite possible that things are going to change – one way or another – and quite rapidly.
#3: Eight of Wands | Cupid’s Arrow Strikes
Are you ready for a sudden romance? Do you have the willpower to help it grow deeper? The Eight of Wands is a fast, and powerful force. If you’ve been in the same place for a while, get ready because things are about to change.
When the Eight of Wands is drawn in a love reading, you can expect to either fall hard for someone, or suddenly to be spending a whole lot more time with someone special.
The Eight of Wands is like having a brand new, unexpected fire lighting up your entire being. Out of the blue, there is a new and exciting momentum surrounding you.
The sky looks brighter, colors pop out at you, and life feels lighter and more alive. The question is, where is this coming from?
You might soon meet someone who inspires you in beautiful ways. However, taking the Hierophant into consideration, it’s possible you already know this person, and you’re beginning to see them in a new light.
This is great news, whether this connection a fling, or something far deeper. Whatever the case may be, this person is getting your engine moving again.
The only trouble with this card is the possibility of burning out. If you are not looking for a whirlwind, short lived romance, then it is important you pace yourself and take things slow.
This could be hard, considering the fire that is propelling you. However, both the High Priestess, and the Hierophant, are recommending a different strategy.
The High Priestess is a strong reminder to return to yourself and your instincts. Really listen to what is true for you, rather than only the desire that starts to arise.
The Hierophant, in this situation, wants you to keep good boundaries, and to listen to the higher values that govern how you want to be in a relationship.
Enjoy the new energy, but be clear in yourself what it is you are truly wanting.
Choosing your Romance
This is a very auspicious reading for both singles, and for long term partners. It also indicates that you have more power over how this next romantic endeavor will play out.
The High Priestess is a clear sign it’s’ time for you to take a step back and relate to yourself and your emotions. The more you attend to your inner relationship, the better the outer relationships can become.
You might ask yourself if there are rituals or practices that can help you to connect with the Divine Feminine within. This is supported by your second card, The Hierophant. He wants you to pay attention to your higher values, and the traditions that are meaningful to you.
The Hierophant also indicates there could be someone you already know that could turn into a very deep and lasting relationship. However, the Eight of Wands is letting you know that it’s not just a tiny spark here, but potentially a bonfire.
The final analysis is that it’s important for you to move slowly, stay in sync with your emotions and intuition, and to listen to what is most valuable to you in a relationship.
