Hello Tarot Family,
This is Jonathan with an exciting reading for your week.
It can be challenging to speak your truth sometimes, especially if it might rock the boat. This week however, the cards are asking you to stand up for yourself and be honest with what’s going on in your life.
The Page of Swords is a master communicator who says what needs saying without being distracted by the potential repercussions. However, The Page of Swords can be a little impulsive and critical.
Temperance, your second card, is a reminder to avoid extremes and remember there is a place of harmony you can find, even when life feels a little chaotic. This will help you communicate with more grace.
Temperance is also a card of blessings, which is emphasized by your third card The Chariot.
If you can find balance, The Chariot is a sign you’ll have more clarity about what you are wanting in life, which will help propel you in that very direction.
You have a very inspiring week ahead, so let’s take a look at what is to come.
#1: Page of Swords | Speaking Up
Have you been feeling the need to speak your truth? Are you ready to stand up for justice in your life and for others?
The Page of Swords is vivacious and energized. At his heart, he has good intentions and the energy to make things happen.
While it’s possible this card is referring to someone young at heart in your life, it more likely symbolizes a part of you that is capable of facing the world with truth and honesty.
When the Page of Swords is drawn, it often represents a need for new ways of communicating.
As you can see in the image, the clouds are wild, and the wind is whirling with great force. The weather seems daunting, but the page is able to cut through it with his sword of truth.
This card can indicate a possible argument, a complex situation, or something a bit chaotic soon to come. Luckily, the appearance of the Page of Swords also assures you have the skill to face these disturbances unflinchingly, and with a good attitude.
There’s no need to second guess yourself right now, or get lost in mental debates about how to proceed. This is a time to speak honestly and openly to the people around you.
There simply isn’t room for hiding or holding back. The more you keep yourself hidden, or stop yourself from speaking about what’s going on, the slower you will come to a resolution.
That being said, you don’t need to be rigid or critical with your words or stance. The Page of Swords can be overly mental, and become opinionated and judgmental. While it’s important to speak honestly, remember to stay open and receive other perspectives with grace.
If you are truthful about your own perspective and how you feel, you’ll find yourself discovering new insights and different ways to move forward without unnecessary conflict.
Sometimes what we hold back from saying, and the things we hide from others, are exactly what’s keeping us from moving forward into greater fulfillment in our relationships and work.
Being truthful, and standing your ground in a stormy moment, doesn’t have to be adversarial. As you’ll see in your next card, the balance between action and receptivity can bring about a sense of ease in your life.
#2: Temperance | Striking A Balance
Has your life been a roller coaster recently? Or on the flip side, have things felt like an empty desert? When Temperance is drawn, you are being advised to avoid any and all extremes for a while.
Temperance is one of the most beautiful cards in the Tarot deck. The Angelic being on the card is depicted in a vast landscape, representing the highs and lows of life. Rugged mountains cast sharp edges behind her, and the rich valley surrounding her is fertile and lush. These contrasting images symbolize the constant fluctuations of life.
As you can see on the card, she has one foot in a calm pool of water, while the other foot remains on land. This imagery is encouraging you to find balance, even within the twists and turns occurring around you.
Right now is a good moment for you to take it slow and easy. Don’t make any big decisions, or impulsive actions. Instead, take stock of how you are spending your time.
“Am I overworking? Do I need to be working more? Am I eating well and drinking enough water? Am I getting enough exercise, or too much exercise?”
Allow yourself a moment to weigh the different areas of your life, and assess whether you need to make any changes to bring about more harmony.
Considering your first card, the Page of Swords, you might be spending too much time in your head. This can be exciting and fruitful, especially if there are new ideas flooding in.
However, it won’t be helpful to focus your energy to the point of feeling drained. Notice which ideas you can act on, and then clear out the ideas that either need to wait, or are simply impractical at this time.
Both the Page of Swords and Temperance are great decluttering cards. Together, they are inviting you to let go of what is distracting or unnecessary.
Your next card is a master of manifestation, passion and focus. So, sift out energy sapping stuff from the important things, so you can focus on what you truly care about.
#3: The Chariot | Honing Your Desire
Is there something you are passionate about, but don’t know how to get? The Chariot is a positive indication you can achieve what you are wanting, encouraging you to follow your interests and to fight for your future.
The Chariot is a power packed card. The charioteer rides valiantly towards new adventures, guided by intuition, while grounded in the real world. The black and white sphinxes propelling the chariot, represent the conscious and the unconscious, as well as your primal instincts.
The ability to guide the primal powers is no easy task. You are being called to align your whole being, emotions, desires, and thoughts, toward your goals.
When these potent forces are all on board with what you are wanting, there is nothing that can stop you.
However, as you might know if you’ve ever worked with large or powerful animals, primal energies cannot simply be forced into submission – not without also destroying their inner beauty and fire. So, forcing yourself to do things you don’t want to won’t work in this situation.
Rather, get clear about what you are wanting, and find a way to understand the honest steps it will take. Any critical or dissenting thoughts -such as ‘I can’t do this,’ or ‘I don’t know what I’m doing,’ – are important thoughts to write down and explore.
Once you write them down, have a conversation with yourself about them. Are these thoughts true? In what ways are they correct, and in what ways are they simply getting in the way?
The critic within you has good information about what needs to change in your life, however the inner critic also tends to be sour and mean.
By having a conversation with the critic within you, you can begin to change your relationship with it.
You can also kindly, but firmly tell the critic to take a break, or go away, especially if it’s just making you feel more stuck.
The Chariot is a sign you really can get aligned with where you are going, and heroically head in the right direction. So let yourself be excited, because you are on your way to making some great changes.
Your cards this week are showing up because you now have the ability to move towards your dreams with more clarity than you’ve been experiencing lately. You just need to trust in yourself, and believe you can do it.
The Page of Swords wants you to speak up, and be honest with the situations in front of you. This could be conversations with the people around you, or having a more honest conversation with yourself.
It’s wise, however, to be gentle with your words. Especially if you’ve been bottling some emotions up. Take the advice of the Temperance card, and find a balanced way to express yourself.
Avoiding extremes is important this week. Slowing down, and checking in on where you might be wasting your time, could help you find clarity about where you are going next. This will help reign in the energy of The Chariot.
As you put the attention of your mind, emotions, and will on what you are wanting, you will be re-energized with passion and purpose once again.
This is an exciting week! I look forward to hearing from you about what changes occur as you move forward.
P.S. Is there a stressful conversation you’ve been avoiding? In what ways are you not standing up for yourself? I’d love to hear from you in the comments.
