Raising The Bar For Love | Friday Night Love Tarot Reading 01/22

This is Jonathan with a juicy love reading for you. 

Powerful feminine symbols are in the cards this week to help lead you towards your feisty, authentic self. 

Last Friday’s love reading featured The High Priestess. Now with The Empress appearing this week, the theme of the divine feminine continues. 

These two magnificent archetypes are powerful signs encouraging you to continue tending to yourself, loving yourself, and becoming the kind of person who can bring about a fantastic relationship. 

The Empress, your first card, is all about your desire to have a reciprocating, harmonious, relationship. She offers tools that can help you manifest it in your life. 

Your second card, the Queen of Wands, is confident, vivacious, and fully and completely herself. She is encouraging you to step out and let the world see your uniqueness. 

Finally, our third card, the Page of Wands, indicates that a love affair could show up in the near future. However, you’ll have to be clear that it’s something you truly want, or it could end up as a heartbreak. 

Here are your cards for your Friday Love Reading. 

#1: The Empress | Accepting Yourself

Do you accept yourself as you are? Are you ok with any flaws you might have? The Empress is a master of self love and deep, nurturing self acceptance. 

When the Empress is drawn in a love reading, she is a sign you are desiring a harmonious, wholesome, relationship. And, she’s a good sign that you have that coming to you. 

However, a deeply nurturing relationship, like the one The Empress is indicating, starts with loving yourself. 

It’s simply not possible to manifest a powerful, long lasting, relationship like this without accepting yourself, and loving yourself first. 

So get it out of your head that a white knight, or lovely princess, will arrive and make everything better. It just doesn’t work that way. 

That being said, you are more than capable of expressing love for yourself in a way that can attract a wonderful partner into your life. 

The Empress is fertility incarnate, and she is a reminder of eternal love, and bodily care. 

If you are already in a relationship, this is a great sign you are with someone who wants to grow with you. If you are wanting a child, you are most certainly in a place where that is possible. 

The Empress is very connected with nature, and the rhythms of life. 

Remember to listen to your body, to care for yourself, and to connect with the wild natural world. The more you listen to your body, the more you will feel attuned to your wisdom and knowing. 

Man or woman, this is a fantastic card for nurturing yourself, and calling in a lover that is robust in their ability to give and receive. 

#2: Queen of Wands | Feeding Your Fire

Have you been overworking or not getting enough time with your loved ones? The Queen of Wands can sometimes be a workaholic, however on her positive side she is charismatic, a social butterfly, and courageously authentic. 

In a love reading, the Queen of Wands is a sign you could benefit from finding people with similar interests. You are on top of your game in certain areas of your life, however getting out and mingling (even if it’s just online during the pandemic) is crucial. 

This fiery queen is powerful and magnetic. When she walks in the room people notice her right away. It’s not her physical features that grab the attention of those around her, it’s that she has owned her shadows, and is alive in her true self. 

You have the ability to draw someone special into your life right now, so trust the right individuals will come your way. You will know if it’s a good match best by being one-hundred percent yourself. 

This Queen is not trying to be something she is not, or hiding parts of herself out of fear of rejection. Because she is not hiding, she is utterly luminous. 

This week, you can weed out any false connections by just being yourself. If they can’t stand the fire, well… they should probably get out of the kitchen. 

If you are already in a relationship, this card is a sign that your work and home life could use some balancing. Put some of your legendary passion and drive into your love life. Do something unexpected, create some sparks, even be a little naughty. 

As you can probably tell, the Queen of Wands, with her no-holds-barred attitude, is a result of the kind of loving acceptance the Empress is inviting you into. 

Loving yourself, and your shadow, brings about a deep and potent – and highly attractive – energy. 

We instinctively are attracted to people who are not hiding anything, or who have resolved any shame about themselves. 

Your next card is a sign that something new is ready to start, and it may or may not be what you would expect – or want. 

#3: Page of Wands | A Peter Pan Romance

Does it feel like romance has been a bit of a desert lately? Or are there one too many flings showing up in your life? 

The Page of Wands is all about fun. He’s dressed somewhat flamboyantly, and has a coyness that sparkles in his eye. Even though he’s in a barren land, with very little life, he seems confident, and his staff has a few leaves brimming with life. 

When the Page of Wands arrives in a love reading, it’s a sign that there is some fun headed your way, and likely very soon. This could be a good thing, or another annoyance or distraction. 

On the one hand, and considering our previous cards, this could be a sign to get out there and be your unique and spontaneous self. Particularly if you are feeling like you need to express parts of you that haven’t gotten to see the light of day for a while. 

It’s time to get out there and be wacky, playful, and weird. 

On the other hand, the Page of Wands can indicate the arrival of a Peter Pan type of person. This could be you, or someone who shows up in your life. 

By Peter Pan, I mean filled with magic, adventure, and boyish or girlish energy. These types of people can be invigorating and downright dreamy with their fairy tail romantic gestures, and sexy “who cares” attitude. 

However they also tend to be ungrounded, aloof, and ultimately unable to grow up. 

If you’re in a relationship with someone right now who has some of these qualities, it’s possible they simply won’t be able to take the relationship to the next level. In which case you’ll have to decide if it’s worth sacrificing the Empress within you, who requires authentic depth to keep herself fulfilled. 

On the other hand, if you’re single, and susceptible to falling for dreamy men or women, I recommend you stay primarily connected with yourself, and keep Peter Pan at a safe distance from your heart. 

That being said, the Queen of Wands is no stranger to gobbling up a fun love affair, and can do so without getting entangled or burned. But she’s only able to do this because she knows who she is, and doesn’t get swept away or manipulated by false love. 

Obviously, if someone shows up like this, it’ll be up to you. Just remember the wisdom of the Empress, who wants sustained and deep growth for you. 

Accept Yourself, and Fun Will Follow

The more you love, nourish, and accept yourself, the more magnetic and available you will be to have fun without getting lost. 

The Empress is a clear sign that tending to your own sweet heart, and accepting the things you don’t like about yourself, will transform your relationships going forward. 

Often we over extend ourselves in order to gain acceptance or love from others. The Queen of Wands is a representation of what happens when we no longer need to do that. She wields her power and charisma in perfect balance, and it is extremely attractive because she is just being herself. 

This kind of attractiveness will always bring admirers, like moths to the flame. 

The Page of Wands is a reminder to be clear about who it is you want to bring into your life. Do you want someone who can commit and grow with you? Or are you open to a shorter, fiery, but ultimately going-no-where connection? 

Ask yourself what the Empress in you wants; what the Queen of Wands in you wants? There is a time for play, and a time for something more solid. Be honest with yourself, and there is no judgment, aside from your own to worry about.
