Finding Strength Amidst Uncertainty | Weekly Tarot Reading September 20th to 26th

By September 20, 2020 September 22nd, 2020 Tarot Cards

Hello Sweet Friends,

This is Jonathan with your Weekly Tarot Reading.

You have another power packed week ahead of you! I’m so happy to say that there are numerous people reaching out to me to share how the cards and advice are reminding them just how capable they truly are.

The challenges in life can make us stronger and more confident if we face them with the right perspective, support, and understanding. They can also weaken us if we remain stuck in the same thought patterns and choices.

It really is up to you, and I know you have it in you to confront what is holding you back.

Not unlike last week, there is a big opportunity to discover any falsehoods in your life over the coming days. What’s important is to keep showing up, keep finding hope, and love yourself in a way that affirms your essential value.

Remember, as you encounter difficult situations in your life, stay grounded, remind yourself of your priorities, and let yourself have fun along the way.

Knight of Wands: Forging Ahead

Our first card this week is the Knight of Wands. He forges his way through life with courage and a taste for adventure. The Knight of Wands loves a good challenge and is ready to face whatever crosses his path. At the start of this week get ready for some kick-ass and take-names energy to motivate you toward achieving your goals and dreams. Don’t be surprised if you feel like you can take on the world as the week gets started.

While the Knight of Wands is more than capable of charging into battle and exuberantly reaching for his goals, he can also be stubborn and impulsive. He acts first and asks questions later. While this is necessary in certain situations (such as getting a project going, or acting on that idea you’ve had for 10 years and done nothing with), it can also get you into trouble.

This kind of life force inspiration requires grounding and clarity of mind to prevent it from becoming volatile. Be sure to pause and take a few breaths before you say something you might regret or invest in a risky situation. Do your due diligence and allow your creative energy to be guided with care and intention.

If you’re not careful, this potent energy can burn you out and swing you into extremes, as we’ll see in your second card for the week.

Eight of Swords: Cutting Away Negative Thinking

The Eight of Swords represents how you are currently viewing your circumstances. Right now, with the chaos in the world, economic struggles, and restrictions from the pandemic, you probably feel the heaviness we are all wading through.

You might feel like there is no way to move forward, and nothing is going your way. This can be the case particularly if you get overzealous from the big burst of energy from the Knight of Wands. Suddenly there seems to be an opening and much needed inspiration, yet you may quickly discover another discouraging blockade in your way.

This is a natural experience, if your energy has been stuck and tight: something unlocks within you or in your life, allowing you to feel a brief moment of freedom before coming up against restrictions again. The truth is that your mind has become accustomed to seeing your current circumstances as unmanageable and overwhelming. You may feel as if life itself is against you.

I know how hard it can be to shift this perspective when you look around and all signs seem to be affirming your negative experience. But it’s not true. It’s your practiced and habituated interpretation of the situation.

The image in the Eight of Swords card depicts a blindfolded woman, bound by her own thought patterns. She can’t see her way out, or even think her way out of her circumstances. Rather she must turn towards her inner knowing and her intuition to resolve the situation, symbolized by the water at her feet.

Now is the time to touch in with your sense of trust and intuition. Don’t try to create an immediate strategic plan – which is what our minds and egos desperately are searching for. Rather, remind yourself that it’s okay to be in the unknown. Beam your love and acceptance into yourself, and stay open to receive help and guidance. Spend some time soothing yourself by honoring where you are right now. Even honor the confusion and the uncertainty.

These self care practices put us in touch with our humility, and will help to open a doorway to stable and consistent movement forwards.

Page of Wands: Playful Creativity

The Page of Wands is filled with curiosity and creative energy. His walking staff has a bit of newly formed green sprouts, representing his willingness to try new things and see the potential where others might not think to look. If you’ve experienced the Knight of Wands energy before, only to feel let down afterwards, slow-your-roll a little bit. Get playful, allow yourself to open up to outlandish, emotionally daring ideas.

Often, one of the most powerful things we can do is simply get curious about what’s going on in our life. Rather than searching intensely for a solution, if we give ourselves the space to be creative and play with the possibilities, it lightens our load and opens up otherwise overlooked options.

Truly, be willing to get a little wacky with how you are approaching your next step. It’s not necessarily that you are going to follow one of these wacky plans, but rather you just need to loosen up a bit. You’ve been burned a few times, and can now recognize that following the impulsive path can be treacherous. Instead, take your time with a creative project, or something that inspires and takes you away from needing to make things happen in a hot minute.

I’m not saying to distract yourself with movies and tv, or to just check out. Do something else that requires your attention and creativity, just to shake things up a bit. You’ll be surprised what insights will come when you give yourself a break from hammering away at the same things over and over again.

Steady Amidst Change

You may find the inspiring Knight of Wands energy can stay with you throughout the week, even if self-doubt and uncertainty arise along with it. The trick is be to stay flexible. Rather than the flip flop of “I can do it!” to “I’ll never be able to do it!”, indoctrinate yourself with a deep trust for life and all it’s wisdom to guide your path forward.

When challenges come your way, think: “I am more than capable of navigating this challenge, and it will make me a more capable person in the long run.”

When self-doubt starts to creep in, remember this is a part of yourself that has felt shamed, hurt, or denied in the past. What it’s asking for now is your love and support. Turn toward this part of yourself and say, “I’m here, we can do this, and it’s going to be ok.”

The difference between collapsing when we run into something challenging, and staying steady really comes back to where and how you place your attention. Remember to breathe, be kind to yourself, and get creative! Take a pause if you feel like you are rushing to get somewhere, and remind yourself that you are exactly where you need to be right now.

It may not seem like it at first, but the more you affirm that you are exactly where you are supposed to be, the more you’ll relax, which will give you energy to see the solutions.

You can do this!!!!

With love,

And, as always, in service,

Hi Jon! Wow.. it has been an amazing September so far, I felt the energy shift From one day to another around 3-4 weeks ago. Just one day I decided no more and was like the chapter ends. I confront many people, I thanked many others, and Was like that ( like removing black spell on me). I don’t know if I manifested/ wished it so much with the heart or really after all the astrology activity something changed. Anyway, I feel I am recovering my energy, my spark, my smile, and more connected with today and no longer the past- like TBT – Even though, many things are still on hold ( that do not depend on me) l truly felt something change, maybe V-D, or long walks (now I am allowed) – feels like recovering my Mojo!!! And hope to keep it! Once again thank you for your advices I love them!!!

I was literally sitting in this energy of severe head trash when I opened this email… ALL the thoughts about being a failure and not being where I am supposed to be, and it’s all my fault… so freaking annoying and obnoxious. It’s not untrue… however, I can also see my way out of it since I saw my way into it. This line had me in tears …”Turn toward this part of yourself and say, “I’m here, we can do this, and it’s going to be ok.” ”
YES!! It’s going to be ok!

I have been identifying so much with your readings recently!
To answer your question – What helps you when you feel stuck or are cycling in negative thinking? Can you remember a time when something felt impossible and then you broke through into something new?

I honestly feel this is my life! Struggling with myself and depression pretty much my whole life has left me actually quite strong and able to identify these negative cycles. Giving myself the time to really feel it, whatever it is, deal with it and then I sort of give myself a time frame. OK you’ve been wallowing in negative thinking for a week now, lets get back to fighting! And I ease myself out patiently and lovingly, or sometimes just the best way I can!

What major challenging do you find yourself faced with this week? New challenges mean new questions that the Tarot can shed some light on for you. Let’s ask the cards and see what insights they hold for you.

I have recently been going through something that has led me to harshly judge myself. That has been my challenge and I have started to come out of it. Hopefully the week a head helps with this! Thank you for the reading 🙂

    • Hey Ellis,

Thank you for sharing 🙂 It sounds like your challenges with depression have given you some really great tools and resiliency! I particularly like the kindness you give to yourself when you are feeling stuck, and then the fortitude to then get back into the fight. Really wise and well articulated.

Sending love Ellis. Thanks for saying hi 🙂

Hi Jonathan, Thank you for the reading! It really resonated with my situation. I am a stroke survivor that has left me paralyzed on my entire left side & in a wheelchair. I also can’t see to read very well. Health issues aside, I am trying to use them to still live a better life. I have always been psychic and able to pick up on thoughts and feelings of people in my life. I have a very strong feeling due to this. Thank you so much for helping me along this path. Love, Light and Blessings to you. I look forward to reading more of your readings.

Hi… I absolutely love your posts… I’m constantly impressed. I am having huge issues. After years of abuse in many forms I’ve become unable to clearly see anything but black. As positive as I am. This scares me. My inate intution I use to have seems lost. I never remember dreams… I can’t afford all these supposive rituals etc… please help me…

    • Hi Wonita,

First things first is to get out of any type of abuse that is still around you. 100%, find support whether through friends, family, or social institutions, and get away from abuse. Next, it’s up to you to start affirming and reaffirming your worth and value through how you internally talk to yourself, touch yourself, and what you choose for yourself. You must care for yourself the way you would care for someone you love who’s been through a hard time. This is a good start. Thanks for Sharing Wonita. Stay safe, and sending love your way.

Jonathan, amazing as energies flow, while being in the middle of the transition in the cosmic fields that are going on in their rhythm as long as the world exists time….. Harsh moments of making decisions working towards the grand completion. Although not there yet, but all reachable with the clear mind and open view to act, react and ease at the occurring moments in love and sharing of mind in all positivity. It is a real energy boost in all that’ll be done. Wholehearted greetz
