A Need For Balance | Weekly Tarot Reading | 1/10 – 1/16

By January 9, 2021 Tarot Cards

Hey There,

It’s Jonathan with a very positive reading for your week ahead.

As you begin to find your groove with the new year, I hope you’re experiencing some excitement and a sense of the positive growth coming into your life.

Your reading this week is all about integrity, and implementing the wisdom you’ve gained through experiences from the past.

Your first card for the week, Justice, is a solid reminder that there are things out of your control, but that life will always turn towards fairness and balance in the end.

Rather than focusing on what may have happened to you in the last year or years, it’s time to settle into the understanding that we all have ups and downs, and the tides will change if you allow for the possibility.

The King of Pentacles, your second card, has mastered the ability to trust in his own worth and wisdom, which is what makes him so wealthy and prolific.

It’s time to believe in yourself. You are more powerful than you might think. However, when you run around trying to find things to make yourself ‘worthy,’ you are telling life you don’t believe in yourself.

It’s a very good sign the Knight of Pentacles has shown up again as your third card for the week. We saw him last week as your second card, when he reminded you how important a solid, healthy, routine can be.

With the King of Pentacles now as your second card, and the Knight as the third, there is real and tangible progress being made.

You are doing it! Keep up the good work, and remember to be patient and kind to yourself.

This is a great reading. I hope you are excited to discover the insights from your cards for the week.

#1: Justice | Fairness Will Prevail

Does it feel like something unfair has happened in your life? Have you been spinning in circles about the challenges you’ve faced?

The Justice card often indicates a period of rebalancing. If you made a mistake that hasn’t been dealt with yet, now is the time to do it.

The longer you hide, or hold on to something you messed up, the longer it will get in the way of moving forward.

This card is about retribution, however it is not without compassion. There is no black or white in this situation. Rather, there is room for self compassion, which will make everything easier.

If you happen to have made a mistake, or hurt someone, it’s time to fess up. The sooner you do, the sooner a sense of balance can return to you.

On the other hand, it could be that someone else has hurt you in some way, or that you’ve found yourself in an unfair situation where you’ve been taken advantage of.

In this case, you can rest assured that justice will be served. Equilibrium will return.

While it’s possible you’ve been in some kind of legal dispute, or you’ve experienced some kind of hurtful and frustrating injustice, for today, Justice is a reminder let go of what is out of your control.

It can be easy to get stuck on something that has been hard, or went wrong. But all this does is keep you from doing what you can do now. Now is the time to show up with integrity, and commitment.

The Justice card is all about honesty, fairness, and truth. So rather than complaining about the inequity you believe you’ve experienced, start living by these values, in this moment, in your life.

It’s no help to complain, or fight against, the injustice you’ve experienced. You have beautiful things coming your way, so get your ‘revenge’ by living at the highest level you can right now!

Being able to stop obsessing about what is not right in your life, and no longer reaching wildly for something to fix what appears to be wrong, is a sign of maturity. As you’ll see in your next card, you are developing into someone who is no longer fooled by fake promises of quick fixes.

#2: King of Pentacles | Wisdom into Wealth

Have you been experiencing a different kind of stability in your life? If not, then it’s time to start deepening into the wisdom you already have, though you might be avoiding it.

When the King of Pentacles is drawn, he is almost always a sign of prosperity to come. His sense in business, tenacity with work and life, and balanced discipline, have made him the majestic king he is.

One of the reasons he has become as successful, and deeply connected to life as he has, is he no longer needs to prove to himself to others he is capable and worthy.

You may have found yourself reaching and searching for things over the years to make you feel accepted in life. This could be spending money on items you thought would make you popular, or give you something to make you feel whole.

It could also be over striving in exercise, or dieting in order to get the ‘perfect body.’ Ultimately, you’ve come to see none of these things are what make you feel successful, happy, or worthy of love.

Now that you know this, or are coming to know this, life will begin to fill you up with the kind of sustained wealth and happiness that happens when you stop chasing, and start allowing.

You are far more capable than you think, and the King of Pentacles is here to remind you of that.

Slow down, trust your instincts, and walk the path of a wise King. He knows if you stay focused, and resist the urge to act impulsively, all things will come to you.

Our next card showed up in our reading last week, so he remains the key to accessing your kingly abilities, along with the internal and external wealth he represents.

#3: Knight of Pentacles | One Thing at a Time

Have you been getting your schedule in order and attending to your body and routine? If so, then keep it up, because the rewards are increasing the more you do.

The name of the Knight of Pentacles in the Golden Dawn tradition is “Lord of the Wild and Fertile Land.” This Knight has become masterful in the “wild land”, which represents an ability to navigate the beauty and wildness of life without getting thrown off course.

He has done this by being deeply connected with his body, and the work directly in front of him. He is not distracted by how much work he has, or by the tricksters who want to steer him off course.

Rather, he has found contentment in the day by day, and moment by moment, through his attention to the present situation.

If you’ve been feeling flustered and distracted lately, then it’s time to reconnect with your breath, your body, and to focus on one thing at a time. Take a walk, feel the rhythm of your breath, and treat yourself with dignity and kindness.

The Knight of Pentacles is masterful at creating wealth, but he does so through his hard work and natural intuition. This is not a time to overthink things, or create vast and intricate plans.

It’s time to find your natural rhythm. trust the next step will arrive in it’s right timing, and give your full and loving attention to whatever is in front of you right now.

Choosing Integrity

All three of our cards represent honesty, wisdom, and integrity. These are powerful qualities for you to embody, and live by.

The Justice card is reminding you life will return to balance, and injustice will be righted. Your job is to focus on what’s in front of you, and trust by living your best life, the rest will follow.

Focus is something you are more than capable of, and the King of Pentacles is a sign of this. You have had enough of chasing after things and experiences to make you happy. Now is a time to find real wealth through patience.

Remain on your throne by staying present with what you are building and creating in your life and relationships. The Knight of Pentacles was drawn again to emphasize the importance of routine, and bodily presence.

Build a routine to serve you in all areas. You don’t need to do it all at once, instead create a plan that allows you to take your time. Doing things correctly, and with proper attention, will serve you more right now than trying to do everything under the sun, plus some.

With love,

And in Service,

Jonathan Lionheart.

P.S. Are there injustices you just can’t stop thinking about? What would you like to build into your weekly or daily routine?

P.P.S. If you’re feeling stuck in your life right now, or you can’t figure out what’s getting in your way, you can schedule a private reading with me here and we can look into it together.

    • Hi Derek, you are so welcome my friend, and thank you for your kind words. Sounds like you have truly walked a warriors path, so I want to honor the growth and development you have gained. Keep going! keep loving! keep believing! You are powerful. As an aside, one of my favorite documentaries is called “The Work” about a inmates who started a program in prison to help move past the deep challenges. It’s truly powerful, and inspiring. I watch it periodically because it cracks my emotions open, and reminds me just how fierce and committed people can be to growing, even when their circumstances are massive. Sending blessings on you Brother.

  • Gaynor says:

Oh yes please. I have sought justice and karma for nearly two years. My soon to be divorced ex has taken all our savings and assets. He’s with a new love and new job so his life seems to be going so well. I am no longer hurting as much and I truly believe that the universe is wanting me to have a happier future. My ex had to go. He was cruel and abusive. His wheels will drop off one day.

    • Hey Gaynor. You never really know how someone else is truly doing. But the way you’ve described this person, I think you’re right – things will certainly catch up. Keep doing you, and believe in yourself. Sending love.

  • Beverly says:

Thank you for the reading it was sooo spot on I’ve been carrying this injustice for quite awhile because of the hurt and pain caused by my ex I left the relationship now I regret my decision but I have to let it go and let time prevail.

    • Hi Beverly, thanks for commenting. Letting go can be hard. I often remind myself when I think I shouldn’t have done something, or I feel like something shouldn’t have happened, that it did, and therefor it should have. We never know what life wants us to experience, or where that experience will bring us. Blessings 🙂

  • Ann O’Hagan says:

Today’s reading was pretty spot on for me at this time of confusion, misleading and deceptive information on the media. ‘Justice will Prevail’. Two of my greatest character strengths are fairness and honesty. In my personal life and with what is going on globally. I will continue to stand in my truth and this card re-affirms from the higher power, God, all is well and in perfect Divine Order ❣️ Thank you Jonathan you are one of the few tarot readers that I resonate with as well as understand

  • Adrian Mendoza says:

Thank your for the reading so much I wonder one thing if my ex girlfriend that I still love n try to talk to will come back

    • Hey Adrian. I totally get the desire to know something like if she will come back. To be honest, in my experience, it’s almost always best to let go into the unknown around these things. The more you ‘die’ to the loss, and the unknowable, the more you will resonate at a frequency that will bring the right things and people to you. It’s my experience that life doesn’t make mistakes with what it gives us – there is always something to be learned if we are willing to meet it honestly. Sending blessings.

  • amanda says:

Thank you for the reading – been carrying around an injustice- for a good while now – very difficult to get over – work through or forget .
But your reading goes someway to raising a more positive outlook

    • Hey Amanda. I hear you, injustices can be very hard to let go of. I’m glad the reading raised some positivity. My experience has been that if I find a way to express everything I need to express about the situation, honestly, openly, and uncensored – and not to the person but to myself – and get it all out, there is a softening around the situation and I can let go more fully. Sending love.

  • Dunia says:

Today reading is very good I liked. Thank you very much

    • Thank you Dunia, and you’re very welcome.

      • Lev says:

I’ve been a tarot reader myself for decades (ahh!) and every week I am so pleasantly surprised by how you interpret the three card spread in a positive and affirming way that sets up a helpful mindset for the week ahead and helps let go of the week past. I often find the same cards from your weekly spreads appearing in my personal daily draws (like the Justice card!) and it’s a real joy to see the many nuances and meanings of the cards shift over time as you interpret them so skilfully and with empathy.

There’s a lot of generic online card readers out there, but your weekly spreads manage to be timely, insightful, and unique. This week I imagine justice is on a lot of people’s minds for many reasons; truly my wish for everyone reading is to find personal peace in knowing justice (in all its meanings) can and will triumph and that as you journey through the cards, Justice reminds us to cut the BS and let go of what happened that we can’t change (“if I’d only” “why didn’t anyone” “how did this happen”) and focus on concrete actions of what we can change in ourselves or our future (“the lesson from this experience is” or “I need to be proactive about” or “it’s time to get involved, to take action to make the world better for someone else”). This is where the hard growth is and probably why this card keeps appearing in my life!

Thank you for sharing your gift so generously, Jonathan. I needed this reading today.

        • Hey Lev, thanks for the kind words, and for your wise perspective 🙂 Always nice to hear from a fellow reader. I do my best to remember that the cards are living archetypes, which means there is nuance in their interpretation, and a relationship to be built with them. Thanks again. and yes, may we let go of what we cannot control, and take appropriate action where we can. Sending blessings.
